Job Title: Plant Fitter/Yard Person

Reporting to: The Depot Manager

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 7.30am – 5pm, ½ hour unpaid lunch

Salary: £14.00 – £16.00 per hour depending on experience + overtime

Location: Ashford – TN23 6LZ

Purpose:

We have a vacancy for a Plant Fitter/Yard Person to join our busy team based out of our Ashford Depot. You will be required to provide effective servicing requirements for heavy plant machinery. Yard duties will include cleaning machinery and pre-inspection on our plant and equipment.

Primary Responsibilities:

As part of your duties you will be required to attend to routine servicing and maintenance of heavy plant machinery including Telehandlers, Excavators, Dumpers, Rollers, Tracked loaders (Bobcats) etc. Diagnostic checks and fault finding. Repairs as necessary to ensure hire equipment is fit for purpose. Completion of pre and post hire checks.

General yard duties include depot maintenance and compliance with internal procedures.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Previous experience of working with heavy construction plant and equipment
  • Work to high standards, with an attention to detail.
  • Ability to build good working relationships with depot personnel and customers.
  • Full driving licence
  • Own basic tools

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Job Title: Yard Person/Plant Fitter

Reporting to: Depot Manager

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours ½ hour unpaid lunch, overtime paid at time and a half after 40 hours

Salary: £Depending on experience.

Location: Okehampton Devon

Purpose:

We’re looking for a hard-working and reliable Yard Person/Fitter who takes pride in their work to join our friendly team. The ideal person will have a drivers licence, a can do attitude and enjoy manual work. You will provide effective fitting and servicing requirements for heavy plant machinery. You will be expected to manage your time efficiently and effectively whilst developing/maintaining relationships with our customers. You will be provided with a company van to enable you to reach our clients (which must be returned to site each evening)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Servicing, maintenance and repair of heavy plant equipment to include 1.5T to 50T excavators, wheeled excavators, long reach excavators, dumpers, dump trucks, rollers, telehandlers and various attachments.
  • Investigating, diagnosing and repairing machine faults.
  • Carry out pre and post hire checks
  • General yard duties to include maintenance of sepot and compliance with internal procedures.
  • Maintain clean and tidy organised yard.
  • Willingness to start early, work late if required, overtime available at 1.5 x hourly rate.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Previous experience of working with heavy contruction equipment.
  • Full driving licence
  • CSCS card.
  • Can do attitude.
  • Ability to build good working relationships with depot personnel.

Job Title: Plant Hire Manager

Purpose:

We are looking for an experienced Plant Hire Manager to join our friendly team based at our Daventry Depot, East Midlands, where you will be responsible for the day to day smooth running of a busy plant hire service.

Primary Responsibilities:

You will manage and oversee hire orders with suppliers ensuring a high standard of service to both clients and customers. You will be required to deal with the initial enquiry stage through to quotation, follow up, processing of the hire orders and transport to their site.

The Plant Hire Manager will be responsible for and manage a small team of delivery drivers, mobile and workshop plant fitters and yard staff on a daily basis.

You will report to the Depot Manager and be trained by the Depot Manager as part of the company’s forward thinking strategy to identify and prepare high potential employees for future leadership roles.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Background in plant / transport (desirable)
  • Previous managerial experience role
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Methodical and organised
  • Experienced in purchasing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Friendly disposition with a team orientated approach

Hire Administrator - EVision Electric Vehicles

Purpose:

To provide Electric Hire Vehicles across the UK in order to promote green transport options to businesses and individuals.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Dealing with all incoming hire enquiries (live chat, email, web booking, phone etc.)
  • Providing quotations for customers’ rental requirements.
  • Chasing up all quotations to try and turn them into confirmed hires.
  • Once a hire is confirmed, entering all details onto the MCS system, obtaining full Documentation with advance payment (if not a credit account).
  • Entering all hires onto the CEC/CEV schedules and the EVision Diary System.
  • Creating the Contract to send on to Operations.
  • Generating new business via social media/telephone calls.
  • Attending shows and events to promote the vehicles for hire.
  • Deputising for the General Manager
  • Booking Service, MOT & repair appointments. Assisting with the transporting of vehicles where necessary.
  • Recording all Service information in our EVSM system
  • Chasing Garages and updating customers on repairs.
  • Organising Courtesy Cars

Valid Driving Licence required with no more than 3 points

Occasionally, you may be required to cover other aspects of the business and your job role may vary. You will be given full guidance and support with this.

Plant & Transport Admin Assistant - Head Office, Strood, Kent

Job Title: Transport and Plant Admin Assistant

Reporting to: Transport and Plant Manager

Working Hours: Mon – Fri / 9am to 5pm / one hour lunch (unpaid) 35 hours per week. Can be flexible and discussed at interview.

Purpose:

A position has arisen to join our small admin team to support the administration processes for our Transport and Plant Department. You will be an organised administrator capable of prioritising your workload. You must be comfortable working alone on occasion (when the other administrator is off site) and as part of a team. Attention to detail is paramount as you will be required to record and collate detailed information including number plates and numerical information both online and manually. A good standard of written English also required.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • QR Code Process – inputting data from new machine forms – upkeep maintenance of HEQR website / creating new web pages for machines and cars and creating ordering forms for new stickers to be created.
  • Processing new machines and sale machine forms.
  • Creating EVSM (electric vehicle service module) on relevant spreadsheets such as CEC (current electric cars) and CEV (current electric vans)
  • Monthly Audits which include checks of; Taxes, London congestion charge, MOT dates and insurances.
  • Completing vehicle and plant tax requests including the update of relevant spreadsheets / actioning SORN requests.
  • Scanning hard copies of V5s and Conformities onto the system and related filing
  • Applying for LCC (London Congestion Charge) for new vehicles and renewing for old vehicles.
  • Monthly preparation of crossing logs for Group & Plant Tyne tunnel accounts.
  • Managing spare key cupboard – ensuring authorisation for sign in/out
  • Managing Penalty Charge Notices – important daily task.
  • Dealing with enquiries for our National Self Storage facility.
  • Other Adhoc tasks.

Purpose:

We are looking for a Hire Administrator to join our friendly team based at our Strood office. Your primary responsibility is to ensure smooth facilitation of hire contracts with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities:

To provide administrative support to both the Hire and Maintenance Team within a busy plant hire depot. This is a central role within the depot acting as a key link between customers, the hire team and the workshop. You will assist with the hire enquiries, working with the rest of the team to ensure that equipment is available, delivered on time and collected promptly after hire. Excellent communication skills with both clients and internal stakeholders is essential.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Previous hire experience desirable but not essential

Job Title: Sales & Customer Service Assistant

Reporting to: Sales Supervisor

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5.00pm (working hours are negotiable), Lunchbreak TBA dependent on working hours

Purpose:

To make contact with new & existing customers who have previously dealt with us to gain further business from them, and to assist where needed to ensure the smoothing running of the national hire centre office.

Primary Responsibilities:

We have an opening within our busy hire centre, as a member of our sales team. Office duties will mainly be telephone contact to re-establish client contact with existing customers within our database, you will also be required to generate new hires and process ongoing hires, customer requests and queries to assist our hire team as and when required.

You will be required to record your work on our database and follow the processes to ensure compliance & display a methodical approach to work, resulting in timely completion of tasks.

Office experience would be preferable but not essential as full training will be given. Computer experience is necessary. We welcome applications with a variety of previous experience including applicants seeking their first job. Full training will be provided but we ask that you are naturally customer focused, outgoing with a confident disposition including a friendly, professional telephone manner.
