Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and driven Marketing Executive to join the marketing department for H. E. Services (Plant Hire) Ltd.

In the role of Marketing Executive, the ideal candidate will benefit from hands-on training and exposure within a diverse team of marketing experts. Working closely with the Head of Marketing for H. E. Group Ltd, as well as the Marketing Manager, executives, and assistants, you will play a key role in our in-house marketing agency responsible for overseeing the marketing activities of all companies within the H. E. Group and its partners.

Your responsibilities will focus on primarily managing the marketing for H. E. Services (Plant Hire) Ltd as well as Masterhitch Europe Ltd, however the successful candidate may be required to assist with marketing for the other group of companies. The role will include the following tasks:

Traditional Marketing

  • Write press releases
  • Liaise with the media and maintain relationships with journalists
  • Actively seek out newsworthy stories and ensure H. E. Services receives positive
  • press coverage
  • Carry out market research and competitor analysis
  • Attend events and promote H. E. Services (Plant Hire) Ltd
  • Organise and attend industry events & promote the company
  • Carry out any other ad hoc traditional marketing related tasks

Digital Marketing

  • Social media marketing and advertising with a heavy presence on LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Instagram and TikTok
  • Google Adwords campaigns
  • Photography and videography – editing footage ready for social media posts / website / press
  • Create YouTube videos using Canva or Adobe suite
  • Work on SEO to ensure the website performs well adhering to keyword search terms
  • Blog writing
  • Look after all social media channels (creating posts, scheduling them on our platforms & uploading Tiktoks & Reels)
  • Managing the website, updating & writing engaging copy
  • Carry out any other ad hoc digital marketing related tasks

Marketing Admin

  • Responding to customer reviews
  • Answering third party queries via social media / live chat / email
  • Carry out any other ad hoc administrative marketing related tasks
  • Above all, the ideal candidate should demonstrate a willingness to adapt and evolve within the company and their assigned role

Requirements

  • Have at least one year experience working within a similar marketing role
  • Must have a GCSE at grade C in English Language / Literature as a minimum (or an equivalent qualification)
  • Have very good communication skills and be comfortable communicating with the depots and other departments
  • Have excellent attention to detail
  • Prior website management experience preferred, however full training will be provided

Mobile/Depot Based Plant Fitter - H. E. Services (Plant Hire) Ltd - Hungerford Depot

Job Title: Mobile/Depot Based Plant Fitter

Reporting to: The Depot Manager

Working Hours: 40 hours per week – flexible

Salary: £18.00 – £20.00 per hour depending on experience + overtime

Location: Hungerford

Purpose:

We have a vacancy for a plant fitter to join our busy team based out of our Hungerford Depot. You will be required to provide effective fitting and servicing requirements for heavy plant machinery. You will be able to diagnose faults, service and repair a range of equipment including excavators up to 50T, dumpers, telehandlers and rollers. You will be expected to manage your time efficiently and effectively whilst developing/maintaining relationships with our customers. A company van will be provided to enable you to reach our clients, returning to the depot when completed.

Primary Responsibilities:

As part of your duties you will be required to attend to routine servicing and maintenance of heavy plant machinery including Telehandlers, Excavators, Dumpers, Rollers, Tracked loaders (Bobcats) etc. Diagnostic checks and fault finding. Repairs as necessary to ensure hire equipment is fit for purpose. Completion of pre and post hire checks.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Previous experience of working with heavy construction plant and equipment
  • Ability to investigate/diagnose technical faults
  • Work to high standards, with an attention to detail.
  • Ability to build good working relationships with depot personnel and customers.
  • Full driving licence
  • CSCS card
  • Own tools

HGV Class 1 Driver - H. E. Services (Plant Hire) Ltd - Hungerford Depot

Job Title: HGV Class 1 Driver

Reporting to: Depot Manager

Working Hours: Monday – Friday 8.00 – 4.30pm less 30min lunch but some early starts and weekend work may be required

Salary: Up to £16.50 per hour depending on experience

Location: Hungerford

Purpose:

To join an established team of drivers within our Hungerford Depot working for the UK’s largest specialist excavator hire company.

Primary Responsibilities:

Collection and delivery of a range of equipment to customers across the construction, utilities and infrastructure sectors. The role will involve the loading, delivery and collecting of construction equipment including Diggers, Dumpers, Telehandlers etc). Driver must be confident to be able to load and unload the equipment onto the lorry and deliver it safely and also participate in yard duties.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Experience – minimum of 6 months HGV driving experience commercially in the UK
  • Driving Licence with C+E category, CPC Qualification Card, DQC
  • Experience preferred in operating/moving plant but training can be given.
  • Positive attitude
  • Willingness to work some additional or weekend hours is desirable
  • Driving experience: 5 years
  • Load & Secure (preferred).

To assist the Technical Director and other team members to build, install and modify various solar installs to specifications and other electrical and electronic work.

Primary Responsibilities

We are looking for a keen and energetic engineer to join our company. Duties will include, but not limited to, assisting with the construction and modification of new & existing PV installs. 

To work in a timely manner, whilst adhering to the company’s health and safety policy.

To be methodical in their approach to work and also feel part of a team that is constantly looking for new ideas and input into our projects. This is very much a hands on role.

Yard Person - H. E. Services (Plant Hire) Ltd - Ashford Depot

Job Title: Yard Person

Reporting to: Depot Manager

Working Hours: Monday – Friday (8am – 4.30pm)
½ hour unpaid lunch

Salary: £12.50 per hour depending on experience + overtime

Location: Ashford, Kent

Purpose:

To provide effective Cleaning and maintenance of our fleet requirements for heavy plant machinery. Based out of our Ashford depot with some work to be performed on site when required, you will be expected to manage your time efficiently and effectively whilst maintaining our fleet of machines for our customers. We are looking for an individual with Plant Experience, but training will be given to the right candidate.

Primary Responsibilities

As part of your duties you will be required to fulfil the following duties:

  • Preparing and cleaning machines ready for hire.
  • Inspecting the machines before hire to ensure the highest quality of service is met.
  • Inspecting the machines on return from hire of damage and maintaining fleet. We are looking for an individual with Plant Experience, but training will be given to the right candidate.

You will be required to work on items listed below:

  • Excavators 1.5T to 50T
  • Wheeled Excavator
  • Specialist Long Reach Excavators
  • Dumpers and Dump Trucks
  • Rollers
  • Telehandlers
  • Various attachments such as breakers, grabs, shears.

General yard duties to include maintenance of Depot and compliance with internal procedure.

Skills / Qualifications:
