Service Engineer - H. E. Services (Plant Hire) Ltd - Liverpool

Reporting to: Depot Manager

Working Hours: Monday – Friday 8am – 4.30pm ½ hour unpaid lunch

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Location: Liverpool

Purpose:

To provide effective fitting and servicing requirements for heavy plant machinery. Based out of our St Helens Depot with the majority of work to be performed remotely, you will be expected to manage your time efficiently and effectively whilst developing/maintaining relationships with our customers. You will be provided with a company van to enable you to reach our clients (which must be returned to site each evening).

Primary Responsibilities:

As part of your duties you will be responsible for:

  • Servicing, maintenance and repair of heavy plant equipment
  • Investigating, diagnosing and repairing machine faults
  • Carrying out pre and post hire checks

You will work on a variety of machinery including:

  • Excavators 1.5T to 50T
  • Wheeled Excavator
  • Specialist Long Reach Excavator
  • Rollers
  • Various attachments such as breakers, grabs, shears.
  • Manitou Telehandlers
  • Bomag Rollers
  • Mealec Dumpers
  • Thwaites Dumpers
  • Komatsu
  • JCB

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Previous experience of working with heavy construction plant and equipment
  • Ability to investigate/diagnose technical faults
  • Work to high standards, with an attention to detail.
  • Ability to build good working relationships with depot personnel and customers.
  • Full driving licence
  • CSCS card (beneficial but not essential)
  • Own tools

Mobile Fitter - H. E. Services (Plant Hire) Ltd - Hungerford

We have an urgent vacancy for a mobile plant fitter to join our busy team based out of our Ashford Depot. You will be required to provide effective fitting and servicing requirements for heavy plant machinery with the majority of work to be performed remotely throughout Kent. You will be expected to manage your time efficiently and effectively whilst developing/maintaining relationships with our customers. A company van will be provided to enable you to reach our clients (which must be returned to site each evening).

Primary Responsibilities:

As part of your duties you will be required to attend to routine servicing and maintenance of heavy plant machinery including Telehandlers, Excavators, Dumpers, Rollers, etc. Diagnostic checks and fault finding. Repairs as necessary to ensure hire equipment is fit for purpose. Completion of pre and post hire checks. Arc/Mig welding – general elding and electrical circuitry would be useful

Basic 12/24 volt electrical work

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Previous experience of working with heavy construction plant and equipment
  • Ability to investigate/diagnose technical faults

Machine Maintenance Assistant - Diggerland - Devon

Job Title: Property & Machine Maintenance Assistant

Reporting to: General Manager

Working Hours: 40 Hours per week – flexible

Salary: £12.00 – £16.00 per hour dependent upon experience

Location: Diggerland Devon (Cullompton)

Purpose:

You will be based at our Diggerland Devon site near to Cullompton and will be required to assist with, and also be directly responsible for, a diverse range of tasks.

Our Diggerland Parks have seasonal opening, but require year-round maintenance for us to deliver the high standards that our customers expect.

You will assist with tasks such as grass cutting and be directly responsible for a range of other tasks including basic machine maintenance across a wide range of machines types from ground care equipment to excavators.

We work as a team and it is important that you are prepared to work in a team environment where working together and supporting others in their work is essential.

Formal qualifications are not required, but we will expect you to be able to demonstrate an aptitude for these types of tasks and also some relevant work experience. Most importantly, we are seeking an individual with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude.

There may be some requirement to interact with visitors to our park and we will expect that you are always polite and helpful in these interactions.

Primary Responsibilities:

Working on a variety of property and machinery maintenance tasks to include:

  • General ground care work, including grass cutting
  • Maintenance and repair of wooden structures including fences
  • Cleaning and repair of static structures such as climbing frames
  • Inspecting, greasing and cleaning machines
  • With appropriate training, basic machine maintenance including oil changes
  • Moving and re-fuelling machines as required
  • Other work as directed by the General Manager
