JOB DESCRIPTION: Business Development Manager

Working Hours: Monday – Friday

Salary: £50,000.00 – £60,000.00 per year

Location: Strood, Kent, ME2 4DZ (Hybrid Role)

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research and networking.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients.
  • Create and implement effective business development strategies to achieve growth targets.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to design campaigns that attract new clients.
  • Collaborate with Depot Managers to identify potential opportunities within their area.
  • Forecasting and achieving revenue targets.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to stay ahead in the market.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to promote the company’s services.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in business development or sales management, preferably within the plant hire industry.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles and customer relationship management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with a results-oriented mindset.
  • A proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales/revenue targets.
  • Knowledge of plant machinery and attachments within the plant hire industry.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self motivated with a results driven mindset.

HGV Class 2 Driver - H. E. Services (Plant Hire) Ltd

JOB DESCRIPTION: HGV Class 2 Driver

Reporting to: Depot Manager

Working Hours:

  • Monday – Friday
  • 7.30 – 5.00pm (with some early starts)
  • ½ Hour Unpaid Lunch

Salary: £14.00 – £16.00 per hour depending on experience

Location: Ashford – TN23 6LZ

Purpose:

To join an established team of drivers within our Ashford Depot working for the UK’s largest specialist excavator hire company.

Primary Responsibilities:

Collection and delivery of a range of equipment including mini digger to heavy plant hire to customers across the construction, utilities and infrastructure sectors. The role will involve the loading, delivery and collecting of construction equipment. Driver must be confident to be able to load and unload the equipment onto the lorry and deliver it safely.

If you are not out driving, you will be required to assist in the yard with ad hoc duties.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Experience – minimum of 6 months HGV driving experience commercially in the UK
  • Driving Licence with C category (+E would be advantageous), CPC Qualification Card, Tacho Card
  • Positive attitude
  • Willingness to work some additional or weekend hours is desirable
  • MUST have previous plant experience

JOB DESCRIPTION: Hire & Sales Controller

Reporting to: Hire Manager

Working Hours:

  • Monday – Friday
  • 8:00am – 6:00pm 
  • 1 Hour Unpaid Lunch

Salary: Up to 28K (depending on experience)

Location: National Hire Centre, Strood, Kent, ME2 4DZ

Purpose:

We are looking for a Hire & Sales Controller to join our friendly team based at our Strood office. Your primary responsibility is to ensure smooth facilitation of hire contracts with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities:

You will make customer service calls, manage hire orders with clients ensuring a high standard of service. You will be required to speak to clients who have not used their account, deal with initial inquiry stage through to processing the hire, liaising with our depots and departments and all related administration, invoice query management and resolving customer queries. A confident telephone manner will ensure you are able to promote the Company’s range of products and services, generate new leads and build lasting relationships with our clients.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Previous hire experience desirable but not essential
  • Methodical and organised
  • Confident but friendly communication skills
  • Team orientated
  • Good standard of English and Maths to GCSE (or equivalent) standard
  • IT literate

JOB DESCRIPTION:Plant Hire Manager

Reporting to: Depot Manager

Working Hours:

  • Monday – Friday

Salary:  From £26,769.60 per annum with generous bonus scheme based on Depot profits.

Location: Caerphilly Depot, CF83 3EL

Purpose:

We are looking for an experienced Hire & Operations Manager to join our friendly team based at our Caerphilly Depot where your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth execution of hire contracts with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities:

You will manage and oversee hire orders with customers ensuring a high standard of service to both internal and external customers. You will be required to deal with the initial inquiry stage through to quotation, follow up, processing of the hire orders and transport to their site. The Hire and Operations Manager will be responsible for building lasting relationships with customers, organising transport, managing hire orders and resolving customer queries. You will report to the Depot Manager.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Background in plant / transport (desirable)
  • Previous managerial experience.
  • Able to work Independently and as part of a team
  • Methodical and organised
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Friendly disposition with a team orientated approach
  • Full driving licence
  • IT literate (Microsoft office products)
  • Experience in customer service
