Job Title: Valeter

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am – 6:00pm

Salary: Meets National Minimum Wage

Location: Strood, Kent

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Clean and valet electric vehicles to showroom standards
  • Wash, polish, vacuum, and detail vehicle interiors and exteriors
  • Safely move and park vehicles around the site
  • Inspect vehicles for cosmetic damage and report issues
  • Check tyre pressure and tread depth
  • Ensure charging cables and EV charging equipment are stored correctly
  • Monitor vehicle battery levels and assist with charging when required
  • Prepare vehicles for customer handover
  • Maintain cleanliness of the valeting and work areas
  • Follow health and safety procedures at all times
  • Use cleaning products and equipment correctly and safely
  • Monitor stock levels of cleaning products and valeting supplies and report when replacements are needed
  • Support the wider team with ad hoc operational duties as required

Skills / Qualifications

  • Previous valeting or vehicle cleaning experience preferred
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Good time management and organisational skills

Purchase Ledger Clerk - Head Office, Strood, Kent
Job Title: Purchase Ledger Clerk

  • Checking CIS payments monthly.
  • Reconcile Statements.
  • Raise cheques where required.
  • Query invoices with Suppliers.
  • Liaise with Suppliers regarding payment of invoices.
  • Filing correspondence received.
  • Answer an overflow of calls from the switchboards and cover Reception in the receptionist’s absence.

Skills / Qualifications

Pleasant telephone manner is essential and accounts experience preferred.

Purpose:

Primary Responsibilities:

The Assistant Depot Manager will and will manage, oversee and guide a team of office hire staff, delivery drivers, plant fitters and yard staff as directed by the Area Depot Manager. You will ensure that the maximum availability of plant and hire equipment is achieved daily in order to meet our customers needs and requirements. You will ensure that the team achieves the highest standard of customer service. You will manage staff absence, rotas and holidays for your team.

To join an established team of drivers within our West Midland Depot working for the UK’s largest specialist excavator hire company.

Primary Responsibilities:

Collection and delivery of a range of equipment including mini digger to heavy plant hire to customers across the construction, utilities and infrastructure sectors. The role will involve the loading, delivery and collecting of construction equipment. Driver must be confident to be able to load and unload the equipment onto the lorry and deliver it safely.

If you are not out driving, you will be required to assist in the yard with ad hoc duties.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Experience – minimum of 6 months HGV driving experience commercially in the UK
  • Driving Licence with C category (+E would be advantageous), CPC Qualification Card, Tacho Card
  • Positive attitude
  • Willingness to work some additional or weekend hours is desirable

  • Driving Licence with C+E category, CPC Qualification Card, DQC
  • Experience preferred in operating/moving plant but training can be given.

You will be required to speak to clients who have not used their account, deal with initial inquiry stage through to processing the hire, liaising with our depots and departments and all related administration, invoice query management and resolving customer queries. A confident telephone manner will ensure you are able to promote the Company’s range of products and services, generate new leads and build lasting relationships with our clients.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Previous hire experience is desirable but not essential

A company van will be provided to enable you to reach our clients (which must be returned each evening)
 
Primary Responsibilities

As part of your duties you will be required to attend to routine servicing and maintenance of heavy plant machinery including Telehandlers, Excavators, Dumpers, Rollers, Tracked loaders (Bobcats) etc. Diagnostic checks and fault finding. Repairs as necessary to ensure hire equipment is fit for purpose. Completion of pre and post hire checks.

Arc/Mig welding – general welding and electrical circuitry would be useful

Basic 12/24 volt electrical work.

When you are not required on site you will be involved in all workshop/depot activities to ensure that our fleet is serviced and maintained to meet our high standards. You will be part of a fantastic team.

Job Description 

We are looking for reliable and professional drivers to support our day to day operations. This role involves delivering and collecting electric vehicles, preparing vehicles for hire and ensuring customers receive a high standard of service.

This is a zero hours position best suited to someone looking for occasional work.

Primary Responsibilities:

The availability of work is based entirely around customer demand and it would be usual to expect a call from us to check your availability at any time, including out of business hours or weekends. We will endeavour to provide you with at least 24 hours notice of planned schedules. You are free to choose the hours you wish to work, however we require some degree of reliability to ensure we are able to provide continuity to our customers.

 
Primary Responsibilities

You will be required to fulfil the following tasks:

  • Delivery and collection of electric cars – local or nationwide
  • Conduct vehicle inspections pre and post hire
  • Ensure vehicles are cleaned, charged and ready for hire.
  • Provide customers with “know how” vehicle knowledge as appropriate
  • Completion of handover or collection paperwork accurately and thoroughly
  • Take detailed photographs of vehicles during handovers, including all exterior panels, interiors, mileage and any damage.
  • Provide excellent customer service suring handovers and collections
  • Report any vehicle damage, faults or incidents promptly
  • Follow company procedures and all road safety regulations
