Title: Workshop Fitter
Location:  Strood Depot
Salary: £12.71 – £16 per hour + excellent additional earning potential
Hours:  08:00am to 16:30pm Monday – Friday (30 minute  unpaid lunch)
Reports To: Service Manager 
 
Job Description 
You will be servicing, maintaining and repairing plant, including excavators,
dumpers, ride on rollers, telehandlers and attachments, ensuring the equipment is supplied and maintained to the highest possible standards expected by both customers and the company. Please note most of our plant is under 3 years old, with a high percentage less than 1 or 2 years old.
 
Primary Responsibilities
As part of your duties you will be required to fulfil the following duties:
  • Servicing, maintenance and repair of heavy plant equipment
  • Investigating, diagnosing and repairing machine faults
  • Carrying out pre and post hire checks.
Skills / Quallifications
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working with heavy construction plant and
    equipment
  • Ability to investigate/diagnose technical faults.
  • Work to high standards, with good attention to detail.
  • Ability to build good working relationships with depot personnel and customers.
  • Full driving licence, (preferred).
  • Own tools.

Yard Assistant - H. E. Services (Plant Hire) Ltd - Strood Depot

Job Title: Yard Assistant

Reporting to: Yard Supervisor

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours, ½ hour unpaid lunch, overtime paid at time and a half after 40 hours

Salary: £12.71 per hour.

Location: Strood Depot

Purpose:

At H E Services we pride ourselves on providing industry leading equipment and solutions to a diverse customer base.

We are looking for a hard-working and reliable Yard Assistant who takes pride in their work and can become part of our depot team to support our growing business. The ideal person would have a drivers licence, a can do attitude and enjoy all aspects of yard based work.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Interior and exterior cleaning of plant machinery to the highest standards.
  • General preparation of machines prior to fitters’ checks and sign off
  • Preparation includes greasing up, checking and topping up fluid levels, fuel, oil, ad blue.
  • Preparing buckets and attachments.
  • Training provided to move plant machinery in yard.
  • Maintain clean and tidy organised yard.
  • Assisting the Workshop Engineers and Yard Supervisor.
  • General yard duties.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Able to prioritise
  • Good paperwork and administration skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Safety conscious, organised and able to comply with HSE processes.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Hard working, reliable and punctual
  • Team player able to work with minimal supervision.

Mobile/Depot Based Plant Fitter - H. E. Services (Plant Hire) Ltd - Hungerford Depot

Job Title: Mobile/Depot Based Plant Fitter

Reporting to: The Depot Manager

Working Hours: 40 hours per week – flexible

Salary: £18.00 – £20.00 per hour depending on experience + overtime

Location: Hungerford

Purpose:

We have a vacancy for a plant fitter to join our busy team based out of our Hungerford Depot. You will be required to provide effective fitting and servicing requirements for heavy plant machinery. You will be able to diagnose faults, service and repair a range of equipment including excavators up to 50T, dumpers, telehandlers and rollers. You will be expected to manage your time efficiently and effectively whilst developing/maintaining relationships with our customers. A company van will be provided to enable you to reach our clients, returning to the depot when completed.

Primary Responsibilities:

As part of your duties you will be required to attend to routine servicing and maintenance of heavy plant machinery including Telehandlers, Excavators, Dumpers, Rollers, Tracked loaders (Bobcats) etc. Diagnostic checks and fault finding. Repairs as necessary to ensure hire equipment is fit for purpose. Completion of pre and post hire checks.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Previous experience of working with heavy construction plant and equipment
  • Ability to investigate/diagnose technical faults
  • Work to high standards, with an attention to detail.
  • Ability to build good working relationships with depot personnel and customers.

HGV Class 2 Driver - H. E. Services (Plant Hire) Ltd - West Midlands Depot

Job Title: HGV Class 2 Driver

Reporting to: Depot Manager

Working Hours: Monday – Friday 8.00 – 4.30pm less 30min lunch but some early starts and weekend work may be required

Salary: Up to £15.50 per hour depending on experience

Location: Droitwich – WR9 9AU

Purpose:

To join an established team of drivers within our West Midlands Depot working for the UK’s largest specialist excavator hire company.

Primary Responsibilities:

Collection and delivery of a range of equipment to customers across the construction, utilities and infrastructure sectors. The role will involve the loading, delivery and collecting of construction equipment including Diggers, Dumpers, Telehandlers etc). Driver must be confident to be able to load and unload the equipment onto the lorry and deliver it safely and also participate in yard duties.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Experience – minimum of 6 months HGV driving experience commercially in the UK
  • Driving Licence with C category (+E would be advantageous), CPC Qualification Card, Tacho Card
  • Positive attitude
  • Willingness to work some additional or weekend hours is desirable
  • MUST have previous plant experience
