Handyperson / General Labourer (Strood, Kent)

Job Title: Handyperson / General Labourer

Reporting to: Estates Manager

Working Hours: 40 Hours per week – flexible

Salary: Starting at £12.50 per hour

Location: Head Office, Medway City Estate

Purpose:

You will be based at our Head Office site on the Medway City Estate and will be required to assist with, and also be directly responsible for, a diverse range of tasks. Our Head Office site occupies a large area of land with multiple buildings that require year round continual maintenance. You will be directly responsible for a range of tasks including ground care, basic machine maintenance, simple plumbing repairs and general building maintenance.

We work as a team and it is important that you are prepared to work in a team environment where working together and supporting others in their work is essential. Formal qualifications are not required, but we will expect you to be able to demonstrate an aptitude for these types of tasks and also some relevant work experience. Most importantly, we are seeking an individual with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude.

Primary Responsibilities:

Working on a variety of property and machinery maintenance tasks to include:

  • General ground care work, including grass cutting
  • Maintenance and repair of wooden structures including fences
  • Cleaning, repair and building maintenance tasks
  • Loading, cleaning and maintaining biomass boilers
  • Cutting and chipping wood
  • With appropriate training, basic machine maintenance including oil changes
  • Simple plumbing repairs and maintenance
  • Other work as directed by the Estates Manager
  • Skills/Qualifications:
  • Dedicated and hard working
  • An aptitude for working with machinery
  • Experience of property maintenance or ground care work
  • Full UK driving licence

Sales and Customer Service Assistant (Strood, Kent)

JOB DESCRIPTION: SALES AND CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSISTANT

Job Title: Sales and Customer Service Assistant
Reporting to: Carol Harris – Sales Supervisor
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5.00pm (working hours are negotiable). Lunchbreak TBA dependent on working hours
Salary: Up to £13 per hour + Bonus Scheme
Location: Strood, Kent.

Purpose:
To make contact with new and existing customers who have previously dealt with us to gain further business from them, and to assist where needed to ensure the smoothing running of the national hire centre office.

Primary Responsibilities:
We have an opening within our busy hire centre, as a member of our sales team. Office duties will mainly be telephone contact to re-establish client contact with existing customers within our database, you will also be required to generate new hires and process ongoing hires, customer requests and queries to assist our hire team as and when required.

You will be required to record your work on our database and follow the processes to ensure compliance and display a methodical approach to work, resulting in timely completion of tasks.

Office experience would be preferable but not essential as full training will be given. Computer experience is necessary. We welcome applications from all backgrounds including applicants seeking their first job. Full training will be provided but we ask that you are naturally customer focused, outgoing with a confident disposition including a friendly, professional telephone manner.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Administrative background (preferable)
  • Methodical and organised
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer focused with a confident, friendly disposition
  • IT proficient
  • Maths/English to GCSE standard (or equivalent)

Purpose: We are looking for a Hire & Sales Controller to join our friendly team based at our Liverpool office. Your primary responsibility is to ensure smooth facilitation of hire contracts with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities: You will make customer service calls, manage hire orders with clients ensuring a high standard of service. You will be required to speak to clients who have not used their account, deal with initial inquiry stage through to processing the hire, liaising with our depots and departments and all related administration, invoice query management and resolving customer queries. A confident telephone manner will ensure you are able to promote the Company’s range of products and services, generate new leads and build lasting relationships with our clients.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Previous hire experience desirable but not essential
  • Methodical and organised
  • Confident but friendly communication skills
  • Team orientated
  • Good standard of English and Maths to GCSE (or equivalent) standard
  • IT literate
